“It’s a film about a community coming together around a fire, a really big fire so I felt it was important to have the premiere in and with that community”, said Patty Newton. "I wanted to learn the what, why and how of what happens when you gather 8 tons of bricks, 12 cords of wood, close to 1000 pieces of pottery, 100 of your closest friends, light it and get it up to 2450 degrees. That’s what the film is about.”

This trailer above was previewed with a talk by director- producer Patty Newton Thursday, September 2, 2010 at Pensacola State College (PSC), at an event sponsored by The Kiln Walk Society and PSC. The event was the opening and exhibition of the Kiln Walk Society Permanent Collection at PSC. The trailer above previews the documentary about Kiln Walk that Ms. Newton directed and produced, co-directed by Thomas Lumpkin.
