“Igniting a Brighter Future”
Dear Friends and Supporters,
We are excited to announce the launch of the Kiln Walk Society Capital Campaign, a transformative initiative aimed at securing the future of our not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing the ceramic arts. Over the years, Kiln Walk Society has played a vital role in fostering creativity, education, and community engagement in the arts. Now, we are embarking on a journey to enhance our impact and reach new heights.

Campaign Goal: $1 million

ACTION PLAN

  • PHASE I
    1. Form an organization to nurture the art of wood firing. ✅ 501-C3
    2. Secure a site.✅
    3. Construct historic wood burning kilns.  ✅
    4.  Begin firing of wood burning kilns.✅
    5. Educate community including political leaders of our mission. Ongoing!
  • PHASE II
    1. Construct center for education, hands on training, and museum/gallery for display of special wood fired pieces.  (This must support mission.)  Center may also be used for school trips, and education of school children. Center will become a tourist destination in Northwest Florida.
    2. Develop a phased building plan.
    3. Develop a fundraising strategy. (For example, do we offer naming rights to the center for a major donor?  Do we offer naming rights to the museum/gallery section, rooms, bricks, etc.)
    4. Identify potential major donors. 
    5. Start process.
    6. Continue to communicate status to community including phased building plans.
    7. Once we have a percentage of funds (to be determined) committed, start phase 1 of planned building.

Our vision is to create a dynamic hub for ceramic arts that not only sustains our existing programs but also allows us to expand our offerings, support emerging artists, and serve as a catalyst for innovation in the field.

Priorities

State-of-the-Art Kiln Facility
Upgrade and expand our kiln facilities to accommodate larger wood kiln firing projects, advanced firing techniques, and increase our production capacity.
Educational Outreach Programs
Develop and implement outreach programs to bring the joy of ceramics to schools, community centers, and underserved populations, fostering a love for the arts and creativity.
Artist Residency Program
Establish a robust artist residency program to attract and support talented ceramic artists, providing them with the space, resources, and community they need to thrive.
Innovation and Research Center
Create a dedicated space for research and development in ceramic arts, encouraging experimentation, collaboration, and the exploration of new techniques and materials.
Accessibility and Inclusivity Initiatives
Make our facilities more accessible to individuals with diverse abilities, ensuring that everyone can participate in and benefit from our programs.
